Privacy Policy

This is a purely editorial website. It sets no cookies, embeds no analytics or tracking tools, loads no fonts from third-party servers, and contains neither forms nor a comment function. There is no user account and no newsletter. What follows therefore describes little more than what technically occurs whenever any website is opened. Server log files

Opening a page causes the browser to transmit technically necessary data, which is recorded in log files: IP address, date and time of the request, the file requested, the volume transferred, the delivery status, the page previously visited, and browser and operating system identifiers. This data is required to deliver the site, keep it stable and detect attacks. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in secure and functioning operation under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is not combined with other sources and not evaluated for advertising. Logs are deleted after a short period unless exceptionally needed to investigate a specific security incident.

Delivery via a content delivery network

The site is delivered through the content delivery network of Cloudflare, Inc., which processes the connection data above in order to serve the content and to mitigate attacks. The legal basis is likewise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Transfers to third countries are covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Links to other providers

Individual pages link to third-party websites, for instance to federations and public bodies. Those links become active only when clicked. From that point the respective provider's privacy policy applies, and their processing is outside our influence.

Your rights

You have the right to information about the data processed (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), to erasure (Art. 17), to restriction of processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21). Please address requests to the controller named above.

Right to complain

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority here is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
